Job Description

Prepare students for the Nursing Assistant program. Work as part of a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our young people. Springdale is a residential program for young adults (16 – 24 years) earning their high school diploma or GED, learning career and technical training, and preparing for their careers. Springdale teaches independent living skills and focuses on developing a positive learning environment and utilizing a trauma informed approach to student services.

Duties:

  • Provide instruction in the foundational areas of Health Occupations and preparation for entry into the Nursing Assisting program.
  • Collaborate with other members of the student’s Career Management Team, including academic staff, career counselor and placement specialist.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Program Director as needed.
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of diverse learning styles and will tailor instructional methodology to students using an array of teaching approaches.
  • Motivate and counsel students in the areas of behavior, training and study habits. Relate academic skills to career and technical training and future workplace success
  • Work with other members of the student’s support team, including the career counselor, wellness nurse/disability coordinator, career and technical instructor, to provide wrap-around services for student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, attendance, student progress plans, and student evaluation forms

$45,693.54 + company paid life, AD&D, and long term disability. 3 medical plans and 2 dental to choose from. Other optional benefits available.

Skill Requirements

Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant 2 issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and one year related experience required. One year related teaching experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree and Oregon State Teaching Certificate preferred.
