Job Description

Seeking member of facilities management team for a large Class A building, located in the Lloyd District in Portland, OR. 

  • Manage construction, renovation and major maintenance projects. 
  • Understand and follow established regulations, processes and procedures including Change Management, Work Tracking and Time Management. 
  • Interact with clients and subcontractors during meeting and job walks. 
  • Provide assistance and building related expertise during project concept development, scheduling, budget control, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, coordination with space planning and construction management. 
  • Accurately assess, estimate and forecast project costs.
  • Write and understand functional and technical specifications. 
  • Working knowledge of Facilities planning, life-cycle management.
  • Working knowledge of system testing from test plan development to reliable and verifiable test case development results.
  • Ability to work autonomously when given specific assignments.

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Interior Architecture or a related field is preferred, or in lieu of degree, an equivalent of 4 additional years experience (9 - 13 years total) work related experience in project management including continuous improvement methodologies (i.e. kaisen, six sigma, lean, etc.) is required.
  • Related Experience - Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Minimum Experience Required - 5 - 9 years work-related experience in Project Management or in related area with a Bachelor's Degree; 9-13 years experience without a Bachelor's Degree.
  • LEED certification is preferred.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Outlook, Visio, Access, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required.  
  • Knowledge of or work experience with Facilities projects, specifically related to Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Space Management systems in accordance with industry project management principles is preferred.
  • PMP/PMI certification is preferred. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint); (MS Office 2010 proficiency required).
  • Carry out assigned tasks with a professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, patience, analytical reasoning and problem solving abilities.
  • Meet timelines, milestones, deliverables and provide timely status updates.
