We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shift in our subacute residential children's psychiatric facility. Our LPN will work within an interdisciplinary team including Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Child and Family Therapists, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatric Technicians, and others to provide direct care and support to the children and adolescents experiencing an acute psychiatric episode.

Our night shift LPN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care within their scope of practice to children and adolescents in our short-stay, crisis stabilization unit. Our clients' average length of stay is three weeks. Our nursing team administers medications and treatments, monitors vital signs and general health of persons served. Our night shift LPN will be supporting day and swing shifts by bridging communication from the previous day as well as auditing medications, processing pharmacy deliveries and returns, providing client and staff support on units, and assisting to set up and/or performing morning fasting lab draws.

Skill Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current and unencumbered Oregon LPN license
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds consistently throughout the shift
  • Ability to relate effectively with the people we serve
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations
  • Ability to pass a DHS background check
