Job Description

The Accounting/Payroll Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, which primarily consists of payroll, but may include petty cash maintenance and student pay disbursement and reconciliation in accordance with contract and corporate requirements. Must have ability to multi-task, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and maintain confidentiality.

.$14.26 hourly + generous benefits package that includes company paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short & long term disability, and employee assistance program. Company pays 73% medical/dental/vision premiums. At least 12 medical plans to choose from. 401k plan available with company match and 100% vested after one year of service. Paid vacations, sick/personal time off, and 10 holidays per year.

Skill Requirements

Mandatory:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of payroll experience.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems.
  • Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred:

  • Academic or technical training in bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll.
  • Excellent computer skills; 10 key and clerical abilities such as filing, maintaining logs and journals.
  • Experience with Lawson system.
