Albertina Kerr is currently seeking a Skills Trainer for our Community Based Services program. Under the direction of the clinical lead, the Skills Trainer provides skills-based mental health training and support to children ages 0-17 and their families. Responsible for the planning and implementation of therapeutic skill-building activities in the home, school, and community. The Skills Trainer collaborates with the family, treatment team, and other affiliated community professionals to coordinate and facilitate individualized services within the guidelines of the client's treatment plan.

Our Skills Trainers are offered opportunities for professional development and growth through elective trainings, clinical guidance, and cross-training within the agency.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in human services, social work, social science, or a related field; have the ability to relate effectively with clients and families and respond to crisis situations; and be able to meet agency driving requirements. Work or volunteer experience with children preferred. A criminal background check is required.
