Looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Health Occupations instructor to work alongside the Nursing Assistant Program Director in preparing students for the Nursing Assistant program. Work as part of a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our young people. Springdale is a residential program for young adults (16 – 24 years) earning their high school diploma or GED, learning career and technical training, and preparing for their careers. Springdale teaches independent living skills and focuses on developing a positive learning environment and utilizing a trauma informed approach to student services. Duties: Provide instruction in the foundational areas of Health Occupations and preparation for entry into the Nursing Assisting program. Collaborate with other members of the student’s Career Management Team, including academic staff, career counselor and placement specialist. Provide support and assistance to the Program Director as needed. Demonstrate a keen awareness of diverse learning styles and will tailor instructional methodology to students using an array of teaching approaches. Motivate and counsel students in the areas of behavior, training and study habits. Relate academic skills to career and technical training and future workplace success Work with other members of the student’s support team, including the career counselor, wellness nurse/disability coordinator, career and technical instructor, to provide wrap-around services for student success Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, attendance, student progress plans, and student evaluation forms $20.82 per hour.
