We're seeking an Accountant I. The Accountant I is responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, assisting with the internal audit function, performing banking tasks, recording retail sales activity, preparing the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) invoicing, and providing support to other professional Accounting and Finance staff. Responsibilities also include performing account reconciliations, preparing reports, compiling data, keeping management informed of pertinent issues, and other tasks as required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field or equivalent additional experience, two years' professional non-profit accounting experience is preferred, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel. A criminal background check is required.
